About Me..

Hello All, ! I’m Dylan Morgan, guest author and thriller writer, and I’m excited to share a recent adventure my wife and I took to Las Vegas. Though I’m usually drawn to dark mysteries and shadowed alleys, I couldn’t resist exploring the top activities in this electrifying city.

Las Vegas is filled with more than just the neon lights and bustling casinos you’d expect—it’s a place of contrasts, secrets, and surprises that can catch you off guard at every corner. In this blog, I’ve rounded up some of the best experiences to try while you’re here, from breathtaking views to hidden gems that might just inspire your own story. I hope you enjoy these highlights as much as we did, and maybe even find something new to add to your Vegas itinerary!

Arriving in Las Vegas after a long travel day, we thought we’d be exhausted. But as soon as we saw the city lights, all that faded. The energy, the lights, and the excitement of celebrating our 25th anniversary had us ready to dive into this adventure together. Here’s how we spent three unforgettable days in Las Vegas, packed with activities perfect for couples celebrating a milestone.

Day 1 Evening: Lights, Views, and Romance on the Strip

Our first night in Las Vegas, we couldn’t wait to soak in the city’s vibrant nightlife. This city has so many crazy things to do for couples, and we wanted to start big!

High Roller Observation Wheel

With our bags barely unpacked, we headed straight to The LINQ for the High Roller Observation Wheel. As the wheel slowly rose, the glittering expanse of the Strip spread out beneath us. Holding hands, we shared a quiet moment together, looking over the city as we celebrated this incredible milestone. This was an exhilarating yet peaceful start to our trip, and the view of the Strip all lit up was a breathtaking experience we’ll never forget. The view of the new Las Vegas Sphere was incredible!

Cirque du Soleil Show

Next we headed over to a Cirque du Soleil show. We chose O at the Bellagio, a visually stunning performance with a water theme. The elegance and beauty of the show were mesmerizing, and it felt wonderfully intimate watching it together. This performance was a real highlight, and I’d recommend it to any couples looking for things to do in Las Vegas for a romantic, memorable evening.

Day 2: A Grand Canyon Adventure for Two

With so much excitement from our first night, we still managed to rise early the next morning, ready for a day of adventure beyond the city.

Morning: Grand Canyon West Rim & Hoover Dam

We joined a Grand Canyon West Rim Tour with a stop at the iconic Hoover Dam. This massive marvel of engineering was impressive to see up close, and it was even more special to be there together, sharing the awe of it all. After snapping some photos, we were back on the road, eager to reach the Grand Canyon.

Afternoon: Skywalk and Scenic Views

At the West Rim, we walked onto the famous Skywalk, a glass bridge that extends out over the canyon’s edge. Neither of us expected how thrilling (and slightly terrifying) it would be, but we encouraged each other, holding on tightly as we looked down into the depths. It was exhilarating and a perfect “we did it” moment, one of those crazy things to do in Las Vegas for couples who love a bit of adventure!

Helicopter Tour Over the Strip

Next, we went for a truly unforgettable experience: a Las Vegas Helicopter Night Flight. Soaring over the Strip, we were in awe of the neon glow of the hotels and the bustling streets below. Below us, the Strip looked like a surreal, glittering river of lights. Flying over iconic spots like the Bellagio fountains, the Luxor, and the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas felt like a movie scene. Our pilot was fantastic, offering commentary as we drifted above each landmark, pointing out interesting facts and even a few local secrets.

For those few moments in the air, we felt like we were part of something magical. The Strip seemed alive beneath us, yet somehow frozen in time. The entire city, with its casinos, theaters, and bright lights, looked almost peaceful from above. The lights of the helicopter reflecting off the buildings as we swooped down low made it feel like we were in our own private Vegas show. It was exhilarating, yet peaceful—a rare combination that made this one of our favorite activities in Vegas for couples.

Day 3: Exploring Old Vegas and Celebrating with a Culinary Tour

Our final day brought us to the unique sights and flavors of Las Vegas, perfect for reminiscing on old memories and creating new ones.

Morning: Downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street

We started our day with a historical walking tour of Downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street. Exploring this area, full of vintage neon and classic casinos, felt like a little trip back in time. My wife and I both love places with character, and Fremont Street didn’t disappoint. It’s filled with quirky shops, vintage signs, and plenty of photo ops—perfect for a nostalgic, off-the-beaten-path experience together.

Afternoon: Neon Museum

Next, we visited the Neon Museum, an outdoor display of the city’s iconic signs from years past. Wandering among these massive neon relics, we were hit with the sense of history and magic of Las Vegas. Seeing the glowing signs and hearing stories of the city’s past was both fun and meaningful, especially as we celebrated our own piece of history.

Evening: Las Vegas Strip Evening Food Tour

For our last night, we signed up for a Las Vegas Strip Evening Food Tour. This culinary adventure gave us the chance to indulge in some of the best flavors the city has to offer. Each stop brought us a new dish and the chance to toast to 25 wonderful years together. We shared bites of delicious small plates, indulged in decadent desserts, and compared our favorite dishes. Riding in the Jeep down the strip was a blast. My wife and I were hand in hand, sharing incredible food and creating great memories of our last evening in Vegas.
